A Gap in the Housing Cycle by Ray Johnston

Today we're sharing an article by Ray Johnston that recently appeared in the Methow Home 2020 issue of Methow Valley News. This editorial examines the need for more diverse housing options in the region, specifically rentals for individuals and families wanting to make places like Winthrop or Twisp their permanent homes, but who aren't in a position to buy a residence. Though written before the COVID pandemic, we feel this article hits upon something that's become abundantly clear throughout this quarantine: we need more flexible, inclusive mixes of housing options in communities of every size.
