JA Hires Two Recent UW Graduates

SEATTLE – Johnston Architects has hired Jen Kriegel and Jesse Davis as Designers.
Jen Kriegel, Associate AIA, holds a BA in English from the University of Washington and an MA in Historic & Sustainable Architecture from New York University. She is also a 2020 graduate of the University of Washington’s College of Built Environments, holding duel Masters Degrees in Architecture and Landscape Architecture. Kriegel is currently working on accessibility upgrades to the Seattle Justice Center and several single-family residential renovations. Kriegel started working at JA in 2017 as a student intern.
Jesse Davis, Associate AIA, earned his Masters of Architecture at the University of Washington in 2020 and holds a BA is Sociology, Philosophy & Theology from Point Loma Nazarene University. Davis is currently supporting JA with internal Revit library updates, physical model building, and digital modeling and video work. He is also designing a Detached Accessory Dwelling Unit (DADU) in Magnolia.
Johnston Architects holds strong connections to Washington’s largest university, as Founding Partners Ray Johnston, FAIA and Mary Johnston, FAIA met there as graduate students. Today, Mary teaches architecture studios at the University of Washington College of Built Environments and numerous JA team members have attended critiques, lectured, and led studios at the school. JA Project Architect Kameron Selby, who also holds dual Masters Degrees in Architecture and Landscape Architecture from the University of Washington, co-taught an Architecture & Landscape class to UW Masters students this spring.
