SEATTLE CENTRAL COLLEGE

Seattle Central College is comprised of several buildings on multiple campuses. As the campus architect, Johnston Architects assisted the college’s Capital Projects team in identifying, prioritizing, and completing a variety of project types on the campus grounds and buildings. Weekly meetings between our project manager and Capital Projects staff allowed us to collaborate on ongoing work and analyze potential projects. Documentation tracking scope, schedule, and budget in a “living” meeting note format allowed all parties to communicate efficiently from project conception to completion. Over the course of our role as campus architect, Johnston Architects worked on twelve emergent repairs projects with budgets range from a few thousand dollars to over $100,000, scopes of varying degrees of complexity.
