OLD WORKS CLUBHOUSE
JA designed an expansion and remodel for this popular golf course clubhouse in Anaconda, Montana. The design is inspired by the surrounding landscape and geological elements of Montana, expressed through warm wood tones, reflective metallics, and touches of rich green and blue. Inside, blackened steel elements and slatted wood screening feel structural and solid, offset by jewel-toned details throughout the interior spaces.
Inspired by the region’s history of copper mining, the building’s addition is wrapped in copper siding, and locally-sourced copper was incorporated into the bar front and furniture details in the clubhouse lounge. Oak floors and coffered ceilings elevate the space. Strengthening the building’s connection to the outdoors, three oversized folding glass doors open up the lounge to an exterior patio where fire pits and heated areas allow for it to be used year round.
Besides a restaurant and lounge, Old Works includes golf simulator rooms, a welcoming reception area, and pro shop. JA served as Architect and Interior Designer for this project.
