JA provided full interior design services for Mercer Lofts, focusing on the unique amenity spaces that will set this 196-unit mixed-use development apart. The design integrates natural elements, such as water, stepping stones, and extensive greenery, interpreting the beauty of the outdoors through interior spaces.

A gracious entry lobby welcomes visitors and residents with a dramatic green wall and oversized table designed for coworking, and comfortable chairs for sharing a cup of coffee or waiting for a rideshare. A double-sided fireplace with lounge seating offers comfortable spaces for catching up with a friend. A flexible great room includes cozy fireplace seating, communal living room, kitchen, bar, and dining space, with televisions to make it the perfect spot to watch a ball game with friends. Glass walls open to connect the amenity space to a welcoming courtyard complete with outdoor seating, fire pits, outdoor seating, and landscaping.

Additional amenity spaces include a yoga room, ideal for meditation or a yoga practice, and a larger fitness room. Both wellness spaces look out onto the central courtyard, but strategic landscaping gives the spaces privacy without sacrificing natural lighting.

Additional amenities include dog washing stations, bike repair spaces, work pods, and ground floor commercial spaces designed for cafes and boutiques. A through-block pedestrian corridor strung with festival lights will include outdoor seating, public art, and create an outdoor gathering space for Mercer Island residents.
