JA has continued our decades-long relationship with the City of Maple Valley, Washington. Our team worked with the City of Maple Valley to reimagine the public amenity space at the Lake Wilderness Golf Course Clubhouse. Envisioned for community-wide use, this publicly-owned property will be used as a local gathering space and destination venue, generating revenue for the city through private events such as weddings and conferences.

The new 10,000 SF building will include a dine-in restaurant, lounge, pro shop, virtual golf simulators, commercial kitchen, banquet hall, and a terrace overlooking the 18th hole green. Floor to ceiling windows and a clerestory in the center of the building flood the space with light, even on overcast Pacific Northwest days.

The project is designed to complement the AIA award-winning Maple Valley Library, also designed by JA, and the nearby mid-century designed Lake Wilderness Lodge. Sited on a knoll, the topography around the clubhouse slopes away on either side, framing dramatic views of the golf course and Maple Valley beyond.
